Design & Materials

Modern design techniques, cutting-edge materials and leading-edge production combine to create the next generation of table tennis racket.

Computer-aided design (CAD)

CAD is the use of computers to aid in the creation, modification, analysis and optimization of a design. CAD is used to increase productivity and quality of design.

Using CAD allowed us to design the DRAGONBAT, simulate its performance and then redesign as needed before going to printing.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)

FDM is a 3D printing process that melts a continuous filament of a thermoplastic material and is deposited layer by layer to create the product.

FDM printing is precise, repeatable, cost effective and has a low carbon footprint.

Aerospace Materials

BLADE: Carbon Fiber infused filament – rigidity and strength, highly desirable texture, low resonance, increased ball grab.

GRIP: PLA (Polylactic Acid), a thermoplastic made from vegetable-based renewable resources, produces quick, economical design concepts in multiple color options, including transparent. PLA offers fast printing, good tensile strength and a high stiffness ratio.

Engineered for persistent power, the DRAGONBAT core is comprised of state of the art Carbon Fiber infused Polylactic Acid (PLA) gyroid infill technology. Performing optimally, the vibration from each hit resonates in the Carbon Fiber infused PLA core and delivers excellent control. The streamlined, 3 dimensional core of the DRAGONBAT absorbs energy, delivering controlled speed across the face of the racket with exceptional feel and sound.
